- At the Milia Conference in France Sega announced that they have sold 700,000 Dreamcasts so far. A rather large leap from the 500,000 unit mark at the beginning of they year. These sales were attributed to Sega Rally 2.
- Also from Milia, Sega announced that Shen Mue will be playable at the Spring Tokyo Game Show. It looks as if the game will meet its late Spring 99 deadline.
- Ubi Soft and Warner Brothers announced a year 2000 release for a new Batman title based on the animated series from Warner Bros. The game will appear on all platforms including the Dreamcast.
- Interloop is working on a multiple event, extreme games title for the Dreamcast. Little else is known except that they expect the game to be ready for the European launch.
- Correction from yesterday's news: The images presented with the story about Midway's boxing title, Ready 2 Rumble, were indeed from the Dreamcast version, not the N64 version. Sorry for this slip up.
