According to a source of SegaNET's, Konami of America is working on a 3D version of the Castlevania series for the Dreamcast. The game is reportedly 85% complete and Konami is planning to show it at E3.

Konami is going for a very dark approach to the atmosphere, along the lines of their upcoming Playstation title Silent Hill or Resident Evil. The graphics are supposedly incredible, surpassing Sonic Adventure due to improved textures. The story will feature a Belmont in the lead exploring a fully conceived world as opposed to just one large castle. The levels are so huge that they cannot fit into the DC's memory all at once so parts will be streamed in off the disc as you progress. There will also be a ton of voice acting in the game. Let's just hope they hire better actors than the ones in Symphony of the Night.

Konami is preparing an E3 demo and hope to have the game fully tested and ready for the DC's September launch.
