The Neo Geo Pocket Color, which will go for sale on March 19 for 8900 yen, will have a screen size of 45 x 48 mm. It can display 146 colors out of a 4,096 color palette, and uses the same TFT reflective LCD screen as the Game Boy Color. It can be operated for 40 hours continuously on 2 AA batteries, which is twice as long as the GB Color. It can also hook up to a 64 person network system to play network games via a Wireless Communication Unit.

A number of new companies will be developing for the portable, including Capcom, Data East, Taito, and UEP System. It is reported that both KOF Round 2 and Cool Boarders can be linked with the Dreamcast versions of their respective games. Here is a list of games coming to the system:
